Carolyn Sue Mantey, 84, passed away on September 11, 2026. She leaves behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and memories that will be treasured forever by the people who knew and loved her.

A Funeral Service to honor Carolyn’s life will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, September 14, 2026, at Holland Funeral Service Pageland, 708 W McGregor Street, Pageland, SC 29728. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Carolyn worked at the VA hospital in Huntington for 20 years of her career. After that, she became a Home Health nurse for special children. Carolyn took pride in her work.

She loved her pets, Meg and Molly. She could often be found quilting or traveling with her sister, Patricia. She enjoyed seeing her family and will be remembered for brightening rooms that she entered.

She was preceded by her husband, Robert E. Mantey, her parents, Paul and Mary Gray, her granddaughter, Holli Mantey, and her brother-in-law, Riley Tyrone Jenkins.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Robert L. Mantey (Kimberly), Penny Hafer (James), grandchildren, Ashley, Angeline, Alesha, James, and Kathryn, great grandchildren, Savannah, Tristan, Ryder, Charlotte, Christopher, Nash, Cadence, and Oliver, siblings, Patricia Jenkins, John Gray (Patsy) and Rebecca West (Mike), along with numerous nieces and nephews.
