Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Martha Evans Horton, who passed away suddenly on July 26, 2026, at the age of 84.

Born on September 14, 1941, in Monroe, NC, Martha lived a life defined by grace, kindness, and laughter. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, cousin, and friend whose greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. Her warm style and joy of laughter touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her daughters Satchie Tucker of Clifton, VA, Shelton (Tommy) Sullivan of Leland, NC and stepson Stacy Horton of Jefferson, SC, grandson Corey (Kristyn) McCray of Clifton, VA, granddaughter Ali (Phillip) Brandon of Leland, NC, great grandchildren Harper Brewer and Charlie Brandon of Leland, NC, James McCray of Clifton, VA and baby girl McCray due any day. She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Horton and granddaughter Sydni McCray.

Our family will forever cherish the love and countless memories she leaves behind. Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in knowing that her legacy will live on through the lives she touched and her strong faith in God.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the First Baptist Church of Pageland.

A visitation will be held on Saturday August 1, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM in the First Baptist Church of Pageland fellowship hall followed by a funeral service in the church sanctuary at 3:00 PM.

Holland Funeral Service - Pageland is serving the family.
