William Thomas "Billy" Agerton, Sr, of Pageland, South Carolina passed away peacefully at home on August 12, 2026. He was born on January 14, 1952 to Thomas Albert "Pete" and Sally Hicks Agerton. 

He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and a man of great faith. He taught Sunday school at Zion United Methodist Church for over 40 years, and later also helped teach Sunday school at Springhill Assisted Living Facility. He loved his family, having a good laugh, spending time outside working in the garden, and watching his Atlanta Braves and SC Gamecocks try to win games.

He is survived by his soulmate of 52 years, Brenda Griffin Agerton; his daughter Samantha (Michael) Adams and son William (Danielle) Agerton, Jr; and six grandchildren, Emma Rose, Michael, Kendall, Sophia, Zechariah, and Emma Rain.

Visitation will be held at 1pm, followed by funeral at 2pm, on Monday, August 17, 2026 at Zion United Methodist Church in Pageland, SC. Memorials can be made to Zion UMC, 647 Zion Church Road, Pageland, SC 29728.
